“I want my series of paintings to show Christchurch in my internal world to the viewers, I hope viewers can get in this world I created. Although I've used bright and vibrant colours to present a beautiful city, I want to express the quietness and isolation I feel when I'm living in the city.”

“No big crowds of people, no noises and no music; somehow, I enjoy the isolating and quiet feeling, the city sometimes appears in my dreams and I feel like the city is all mine. Therefore, Christchurch became my source of inspiration, I want to create a Christchurch in my own world.”
