    Eliza Dwyer

“My work looks into the simplicity of nature in both physical and spiritual sense. I have studied organic form and simplified landscapes as I try to draw from nature the quiet quality that makes it so important. A lot of my childhood has been spent in the outdoors, camping in the summer holidays, and tramping with my family and friends. We live at the base of the port hills and have found a lot of escape in walking and biking the tussock tracks. The concept behind my art has been enriched by' Walden' a memoir written by Henry Thoreau where he goes and lives in the woods to seek knowledge from the simplicity of nature and to remind himself of the true necessities of life."
