“In my art I really enjoy exploring pure and emotive compositions that have classical elements and evoke a feeling of rewinding time. The simple and stripped-backed subjects in my work intend to be subjective and suggestive, alluding to aspects of human nature. 'Dragon Fruit' and my other paintings from 2020 were heavily inspired by the story of Adam and Eve, especially the underlying theme of desire. Painting is a peaceful and creative outlet for me that helps me slow down. In turn, I hope that my art instills a sense of tranquility for the viewers."
