    Sophie Buist

“The main message I try and communicate through my art is that looks can be deceiving and just because something looks appealing due to the colour or its aesthetic, does not mean it is good for you or the environment. I show how appealing something so fake can be through the use of photography and Photoshop. What is really in our food? Is it really what it looks to be? Is McDonalds really food? Through my photography, I show the reality of how artificial what we put into our bodies is becoming and if it can really be considered food. We see what we want to see and believe what we want to believe.”
