For example, the fact that I was born in South Africa but have lived in New Zealand for the past 12 years has allowed me to build up an interest in a range of other cultures because of how diverse New Zealand is. It is because of this that I want my art to show influences from other countries and relate to people around the world from all walks of life and cultures.”
