Friends of Artstart

Our Friends are the backbone of Artstart - a community of generous art lovers, passionate about supporting the next generation of artists in Aotearoa.

Friends membership perks:

Guaranteed double pass to our sell-out opening night (your choice of Ōtautahi / Pōneke or Tamaki Makaurau)
Early access to our Exhibition Catalogues (a digital copy will be emailed out 4 days prior to opening night allowing you to eagerly peruse the collection from the comfort of your own home)
Preview event (take a morning wander through the exhibition with a coffee on us before artworks go on sale that evening)
Fill your walls: 1x A3 limited edition print of your choice to take home from each exhibition
New to the mix: an annual invitation to a regional "Closed Doors" event: an exclusive, (friends only) smaller exhibition showcasing new originals from student and alumni artists created throughout the year.

Your support enables this programme, giving talented secondary school visual artists the opportunity to show their work and experience being a professional artist.

And, as a registered New Zealand charity, you can claim back a third of your donations from IRD!

Volunteers

Our volunteers are a huge part in making the Artstart regional exhibitions happen. Our volunteers are rare individuals that form the extended staff team and help us carry out our mission.
